Payment for goods and services selected may be made in two ways:
Payment in full at the time of funeral arrangement conference, or by furnishing our firm with assignable life insurance and
execution of an insurance proceeds assignment form during the arrangement conference. Proceeds from life insurance shall
be paid to our firm within thirty (30) days of contract. Upon our giving at least five (5) days written notice that any monies
due under the assignments described above have not been paid to our firm as promised, McWilliams Funeral Home can
require that any such unpaid amounts previously credited to your account be paid at once.
All cash advancement items on your contract must be paid at the time of the arrangement counseling, regardless of
insurance claims we may be filing.
PLEASE NOTE: THERE IS A 6.5 % HANDLING FEE ADDED TO INSURANCE POLICIES
ASSIGNED TO McWILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME.
We will be happy to assist you with collecting unassigned insurance policies free of charge.
For your convenience in covering funeral expenses at the time arrangements are being made, we accept the following
methods of payment:
1. Cash
2. Cashier's Check
3. Prearranged Funeral Plan (unpaid balance due at the time of arrangements)
4. Verified and assignable insurance (policy must have been in effect for at least two years at the time of death)
Cash advances must be paid at the time of arrangements.
Estates - Settlement of estates can take form six months to two years; therefore we do not accept payments to be made
from the settlement of an estate. If an estate is going to be the form of payment, we require payment in full prior to the
services.
There is a $25.00 fee for all returned checks.
It is our desire that a family selects a funeral service within its means. Therefore, McWilliams Funeral
Home does not extend credit or time payments which may create a financial hardship by overspending.
